I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling. I attended the Albert Ellis Institute of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and the Milton Erickson Institute of Hypnotherapy and is a recognized expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for behavioral health, substance use issues, health issues and pain management. I have over 30 years of experience working in the behavioral health and substance use fields holding licenses in four states. I am a student of mindfulness, meditation and religious philosophies and am a lay minister. I provide telehealth services in HI, AZ, WA and FL and in-office services in Maui, HI as a part of the DEHP Sea Experience.

I have forty years of professional experience with in-patient and out-patient settings. I served as Clinical Director for a large behavioral health program in a non-profit statewide agency for nineteen years. I served as an adjunct faculty lecturer and family therapy supervisor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona for eleven years. I was a family therapy seminar lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry for seven years. I enjoy working with issues related to personal adjustment, anxiety, depression, and trauma. When appropriate and there is interest, I have a special focus on wellness, healthy lifestyle, and the integration of Eastern Spirituality with Western Psychotherapy
